The Modelo 036, explained
Companies register for Spanish tax — and pick up their NIF along the way — through a census form known as the Modelo 036. In plain terms, it tells the Agencia Tributaria who your business is and what it intends to do in Spain.
What we usually ask you for
- Your company's registration certificate or extract
- Details of the directors or the appointed representative
- A short note on what the business will do in Spain
- A signed power of attorney so we can file on your behalf
No notary, no flights
For the foreign-company NIF there is no need for notarised, legalised or translated paperwork, and nobody has to come to Spain. Once the file is complete the number is normally registered within one to two business days.
In Spain
The Spain office sets the pace for the how to get a company nif across Spain. Our team books your appointment, checks your paperwork, and walks you through the day itself.
